Turning raw data into an easy to digest work of art.

My Role

Sr. Graphic/UI Designer – During my time working in-house at the Arbinger institute, I was the primary designer on a number of data reports and an e-book. I worked closely with the marketing department and received feedback throughout the process from Arbinger’s creative director.

The Challenge

For most people, hearing the term “data report” is enough to make you want to take a nap. The goal with these projects was to make the numbers come alive in a way that highlights humanity; To create an experience in each report that makes the reader excited to scroll to the next page, because they find actionable information relevant to the challenges they are facing at work. I carefully crafted each page so that it could stand alone, while also keeping track of visual pacing for the design as a whole. The key was to simplify the design and give the data in bite sized pieces, making it easy to digest. These reports were extremely successful in our sales pipeline, and they are each a work of art that I’m very proud of. 🙂
