Making an Impact with Animation
A PASSION PROJECT
Happy Birthday Animations
for Arbinger Employees
My Role
An Employee who wants to make a positive cultural impact – During my time at Arbinger institute, I worked hard to make an impact for good in the organization. I used my design skills to improve conversion rates on the website and created content with my teammates that generated millions of dollars in pipeline and completed sales.
Those numbers matter, of course, but at the risk of sounding idealistic, one of my main priorities in life is to lift the people I interact with in small and simple ways. Because when we feel valued as humans, we are more productive and produce higher quality work, which automatically supports meeting business goals. I care about making a positive impact in the world and I show up that way at work as well as in my personal life. This is one of the reasons I love teaching and mentoring. 🙂

About the Project
In my early days at Arbinger, I asked myself, “How can I use my design skills to make a positive impact in my organization?” I came up with the idea to send out a birthday animation to each of our 100+ employees on their birthday. It only took a couple of hours to design the animations and a few minutes at the start of each week to check whose birthday’s were coming up/send out the happy birthday message in teams.
