Newborn Photos – Zailey
When Zailey’s mom asked me to take her newborn photos I quickly agreed. You might not realize it looking at photos of newborns, but newborn photoshoots are hard! You spend large amounts of time waiting for the baby to be fed and re-fed… Then burped, swaddled and re-swaddled. Sometimes you turn the thermostat way up to the point where you are sweating like a pig.
I usually use natural light, which can be hard depending on the home the photos are taken in. The baby might poop. The baby usually cries. You just never know how it’s going to go and there are so many variables! This is why I’m not usually a big fan of taking newborn photos. However, whenever I accept the challenge I’m always glad I did, because I get adorable photos like the ones you see below.
I mean, how could you not get beautiful photos when you are photographing such a precious subject? Newborn photos just make my heart melt a little inside!
